Today there are many ways to effectively manage arthritis pain relief. Those who suffer from arthritis pain have options such as arthritis diets, exercise programs, over-the-counter and prescription medications, relaxation and positive emotion coping techniques. Suffering form arthritis pain can also be combated with surgery, supplements, home remedies, natural and other alternative therapies.

When arthritis is first suspected, it is important to seek a medical arthritis expert first. However, the more you know about arthritis and the various options available, the more comfortable you’ll be with your decision.

Below are several options available to those who seek arthritis pain relief.

There is a great deal of debate in the medical world about the effects of overall diet on arthritis and using diet toward alleviating the arthritis pain. Doctors have known for a long time that diet affects gout, a specific type of arthritis; however the jury remained out for a long time on other common types of arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Nevertheless, overall dietary health is important and does come into play when seeking arthritis pain relief. Being overweight most definitely affects certain arthritis conditions by forcing some joints to carry more weight. This added weight stresses the joints, causing overuse and pain, especially in the knees. So making sure arthritis sufferers follow a well-balanced dietary plan is advised.

Minerals for arthritis pain relief

Boron – This trace mineral aids in bone health.

Calcium – This is a much-needed mineral for bone health.

Magnesium – Magnesium helps keep calcium in balance within the system.

Zinc – This mineral is necessary for bone growth, but is often lacking in arthritis patients.

Manganese – Manganese is also necessary for bone growth. However, do not ingest manganese with calcium because they can work against each other.

Copper – Copper helps to strengthen connective tissue.

Germanium – This antioxidant helps with pain relief.

Sulfur – A lack of sulfur can result in deterioration of ligaments, cartilage, collagen and tendons.
